Hallo Mark,

es macht uns großen Spaß, mit Dir die englische Sprache zu lernen.
Allmählich verliert sich die Angst fremde Meschen in Englisch
anzusprechen und im Ausland kommen wir auch viel besser zurecht.

Liebe Grüße aus Freiberg.

Katharina Rosin TU Bergakademie Freiberg studentin

Felipe Seabra Vieira My “testimony”:

Felipe: I had a great experience with Mark as an English teacher! I learned English by hearing about some interesting subjects, like science, the Bible, etc. That was a good experience!

The best motivation for the course was also, that it was so much fun to learn from you. I truly enjoyed it. My COO here, (by the way his name is Mark) is from Birmingham,….. For me, it’s sometimes hard to understand. But basically English is my only language right now I have to use and I have been really lucky to be able to get your excellent support at the start.

I remember sentences from my German colleagues here in Dubai in 2007 same as: “Hey, where can I become a hammer???

You have been right, in such an environment it will be hard to learn correct English since 95% of the people are not native, but so far we have been able to communicate.

Thanks to my intensive course with Mark I have been able to improve my, ‘less than basic English language knowledge’ so far, that I was able to join an international company successfully.

With Mark, as my native English teacher, I have been prepared for the challenges of international business communications, as well as for small talk and daily conversations.

Mein Ziel ist es, meine Übersetzer- und Dolmetschertätigkeit um eine weitere Sprache zu erweitern. Ich bin sehr froh, einen solch kompetenten Englisch-Lehrer, wie Mark, gefunden zu haben!

Moim celem jest rozszerzenie mojej działalności jako tłumacza o dodatkowy język. Bardzo cieszę się, że udało mi się znaleźć tak kompetentnego nauczyciela języka angielskiego, jakim jest Mark!

My goal is to broaden my interpreting and translating activity with the English language. I am very happy that I found such a competent English teacher as Mark!

Cornelia from Germany: University of Freiberg

I have participated in different English courses at the University of Freiberg. Mark created interesting and sometimes very funny lessons on various topics like communication, presenting, or how to apply for a job. The lessons include a combination of speaking, listening, pronunciation, writing, grammar, reading, and vocabulary building. I always found the classes versatile, informative, and helpful. Each student was asked to take part in the discussion which was often about a current topic. Nobody was under pressure to perform. Practising a foreign language with a native speaker is undoubtedly the best possibility to learn the kind of language used in daily life that you do not find in books. I can really recommend Mark’s lessons.

Robert Hegewald (owner & CEO) and the English students from Hegewald Medizinprodukte GmbH and Hemedis GmbH.

Mark is not a typical teacher you might know from school or university.

He is an individualist and it is fun to talk with him. Mark’s lessons are never boring which speaks for itself.

It is one of the biggest compliments a teacher might get. He is relaxed, quick-witted, and teaches in a charming way.

From a German perspective, his lessons are unconventional. As a native speaker, he can tell you all the little subtleties of the English language.

Mark is one of the few people, who was born to be a teacher. With his dynamic personality, he makes good lessons that you can easily forget that you are sitting in a classroom after a busy day, in the late afternoon.

Bayarbat Batdorj TU Bergakademie Freiberg Student

I study at Freiberg University of Mining and Technology. During my studies, I go to Mark’s communication skills class. By improving my English skills with Mark, I learned a lot of things. This class is very funny. Therefore, I had a lot of fun. He shares his experiences with students in the class. Also, he talks about some stories during the lesson. This can make lessons so funny. Furthermore, he is always ready to help students. For instance, when I was preparing to apply to the MBA program, he checked the grammar of my essay. Finally, I would like to say that Mark’s action in the class is as a teacher and your friend.
