Current assets are a company’s short-term assets; those that can be liquidated quickly and used for a company’s immediate needs. Noncurrent assets are long-term and have a useful life of more than a year.

The cost will be in “Two figures” e.g. 10,000 pounds.

Another origin is traced to Lippincott’s Monthly Magazine by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It appeared in 1890. “One of our greatest statesmen has said that a change of work is the best rest”, and its variant has been recorded in The Facts of File Dictionary of Proverbs by Martin H. Manser as “A change of work is a rest.”

 

British English / American English Vocabulary:

British English (B.E.) = Mr M. Brislin Esq (Very formal, it means ‘Esquire’).

American English (A.E.) = Mr. M. Brislin for some reason or other, only beknown to Americans, they seem to want to add a full stop, in American English a PERIOD after the title of the person.

The English word Mister = I would never use a full stop, just a simple ‘Mr’ for Mister.

In American English, they just do what they want and seem to ignore any other convention as to how to address a person.
