The cost will be in “Two figures” e.g. 10,000 pounds.

British English / American English Vocabulary:

Britisches Englisch / Amerikanisches Englisch Wortschatz:

British English (B.E.) = Mr M. Brislin Esq (Very formal, it means ‘Esquire’).

American English (A.E.) = Mr. M. Brislin for some reason or other, only beknown to Americans, they seem to want to add a full stop, in American English a PERIOD after the title of the person.

The English word Mister = I would never use a full stop, just a simple ‘Mr’ for Mister.

In American English, they just do what they want and seem to ignore any other convention as to how to address a person.
